Light blue ABS 1.75 mm

Petroleum-based thermoplastic polymer. One of the common filaments, preferred mainly by engineers, due to being lightweight, slightly flexible and durable.

Excellent for manufacturing interlocking parts. Removal of supports will be done more easily compared to the use of other types of filament.

Description

Light blue ABS 1.75 mm

Light blue ABS filament, 1.75 mm diameter

Not every printer can print ABS material (a printer with a hermetic closure is recommended), resistant to up to 100 degrees, very easy to finish, hard (less brittle than PLA)

Petroleum-based thermoplastic polymer. One of the most common filaments, preferred by engineers due to its lightweight, slightly flexible, and durable nature. Excellent for making interlocking parts. Supports are removed more easily than with other filament types.

The disadvantage is that it is not possible to fill a product with a thickness of more than 20% filling.

The material has shrinkage.

These phenomena are manifested in models that detach from the printing surface in the middle of the process, in poor connection of the model layers or distortion. (Therefore, a closed cell is needed to reduce this phenomenon)

Since ABS is petroleum-based, it is not healthy or pleasant to breathe for long periods of time and it is therefore advisable to work with it in ventilated areas.

There are several tools that help you work with ABS Tekhelet:

A. Using a heated surface of the 3D printer (at a temperature of 100 degrees).

B. Applying glue according to the type of surface (there are surfaces that do not require glue).

235-250 degrees to the printer head (nozzle)
Work surface temperature – 95-105 degrees (ABS has shrinking properties. In printers without a closed chamber, care must be taken to adhere to the surface).

Fans: Work without fans.

Closed printer – working with ABS is recommended for users who have a closed chamber – the heat is concentrated in the printing area.

Prevents the model from detaching from the surface and deforming.
